Pakodi Factory

I couldn't have come across this eating joint on a better day. It was raining, and we were driving through Madhapur. The name alone was very inviting. Needless to say. Pakoda on a rainy day. Match made in heaven.
So anyway, we tried their Thai Egg bomb and Prawn pakoras. I loved the latter. The prawn was juicy, the outside was crispy and it had just the right amount of spices (Drooling, are you?.Though I think a little less oil could take it to another level.
The Thai Egg bombs however, were kinda bland and dry.

                                                      Thai egg bombs

Prawn pakoda. See what I mean about the oil?

The size of these boxes are really decieving. The pakoda inside doesn't come up to 1/2 of the container. It'd be better if the either give out smaller boxes, or larger portions. Ofcourse all of us are rooting for the latter.

Exclusively Chicken

About time I posted about my favourite bundee in Hyderabad don't ya think?
I have been satisfying the non-vegetarian in me at this bundee for as long as I can remember. It only serves chicken 65, chicken tandoori and parathas(plain), but it's the best I've eaten ever. What they cannot overwhelm with quantity, they overwhelm with quality. For all you hardcore bundee hunters, it shouldn't come as a surprise that I'm on about the chicken bundee in Abids, Rama Krishna Theatre road. Akbar .Yes, That one.
So I couldn't get pictures of the scrumptious chicken tandoori, cause they had run out of it,* Be there before 10pm if you dont wanna miss out on it* but I have had it on many occasions, and its definitely a must try. Next time I go there, (and I most definitely will), I will put the pictures in. Until then, happy drooling over the chicken 65.

Not your quintessential chicken 65. HEAVENLY nevertheless.

Bring The Party Home

Scrumptious food, Television and a super fast internet connection are three of the very few things that make up my idea of a perfect weekend. So last night, when we couldn't satisfy our street food cravings cause of the rain, we decided to to bring the party home, with some bundee-like wonder.
Taj Green Bawarchi is a 3 minute drive from my house, so we decided to pick up our dinner from there since I really wanted to share it on the blog, even though it is not essentially a bundee. I have tried their Biryani on more than one occasion, and have always gone back. If you are a spicy food lover like me, and love mutton so much that you don't mind getting more bones than meat, then the mutton biryani is a MUST TRY there.

Anyhow so last night, we brought home Chicken Tikka Masala and Mutton Curry. Now I just mentioned that I love mutton, but this particular curry was a disappointment.
The chicken tikka masala on the other hand, was the star of the dining table. Delicious, divine, ambrosial. Hmm. Words fall short to describe it.

I have always opted for take away there.
The three of us ate our hearts out for under Rs.300. (Steamed rice not included)
Address- Taj Green Bawarchi, Abids, Tilak Road, Opposite Bake Zone.

Raju Anna Ki Bundee

If you've ever eaten at Raju anna's bundee opposite Rama Krishna theatre that is open all night, you will know what I'm so jumped up about. I just had the BEST dosa I've ever eaten in my life tonight at that bundee. And that is really saying something, cause I am someone who's breakfast, every second day is Pragati's dosa.

You guys NEED to go check this place out. I ordered for a butter paneer dosa, without much expectation, cause I am a total non veg person so butter paneer does very little to tingle the appetite. BUT man was I wrong!! That dosa. Fit for king.

I absolutely loved the masala and chutney on the idli too. A must try.

                                                                   Open all night

                                                             Raju Anna in the house!

The dosa I am in love with. You will be too.

So satisfy those midnight cravings at this bundee. You know what all to try.

Oh about the pictures, excuse me for my camera battery ran out of juice because of all the shots taken at the Tarun Tahliani show I was coming back from. Took these from my phone, hence the poor quality.

Timings- 6:30pm -all night (Okay I just realised I forgot to ask what time they close)
Address- Abids, Opposite Rama Krishna theatre
Stay tuned for more from Khaake Aaru...Happy Eating!!

The Red Bundee

Seriously. Which one of you guys would NOT stop by a bright red bundee with an enormous board (well, going by bundee standards) that says home delivery. Home Delivery. I don't know about you guys, but I thought the whole bundee setting, but with the 'annas' in red tees and the see through glass through which you could feast your eyes on those delicous looking(understatement) chicken legs hanging by a rod were all very alluring, and hard to pass. Oh did i forget to mention the picture of the big chubby chef uncle's head?

Sadly I went in with too many expectations. Just like I do with movies. Damn trailers.

Coming back to FOOD, like I said. Too many expectations. Not that it was bad, I mean I did finish what was on my plate happily. Except the chicken 65. THAT tasted nothing like the chicken 65 I have been eating for the past 3 years. Loved the masala that came with the chicken leg piece. See picture below. Now, need I say more?

                                                                  ''Chicken 65''

Garlic Chicken

Vegetable Fried Rice

The garlic chicken was really yum too. That, and the veg fried rice. Only big disappointment was the chicken 65. Not a big fan of their chicken leg piece either. But for that masala, I would gladly order it again.
Their specialty is Macaroni. But unfortunately, I only saw that AFTER I had already eaten, so if you go there be sure to check that out.Even though the place is called ''Tadka- Hyderabadi food corner'', most of the things on their menu are Chinese dishes. So don't be fooled.

It is a new bundee, and alot of people go there to eat during their lunch break, so they must be doing something right. I for one, loved their service.

Umm.. well, don't go for the English. Go for the food.
